South African national Alec Louw Theunissen (born April 1966) is the most prolific UK company director in the Corinth Group network. His Companies House record reveals a 17-year pattern of company creation, failure, and dissolution that is central to understanding the fraud allegations against the network.

The Scale of the Record

Alec Theunissen has been appointed as director of 35+ UK companies since 2009, of which 30+ are dissolved or in liquidation [Companies House, UK]. His directorship history spans four distinct phases, each associated with a different brand: QSEP/ALT (2009–2018), Rhea/CCG batch incorporations (April 2019), Corinth operational entities (2019–2022), JMA shell batch (2020), and Three Tuns (2022–present). Every phase prior to the current one has ended with all entities dissolved.

Four Phases of Company Creation

Phase 1 — Pre-Corinth (2009–2018): Theunissen incorporated 9 entities including QSEP Consulting Ltd (06993839, dissolved March 2011), The ALT Group Ltd (09672656, dissolved), ALT Capital Ltd (10034498, dissolved August 2017), and Crescita Capital Ltd (11578107, dissolved). Every entity from this period is now dissolved.

Phase 2 — Batch Incorporations (April 2019): In an 8-day window (17–25 April 2019), Theunissen incorporated 8+ companies including "Rhea Investment" and "CCG" branded entities. Jurate Kairiene was appointed co-director on all, then resigned within weeks. These were later rebranded to Three Tuns entities [Companies House, UK].

Phase 3 — JMA Shell Batch (January–November 2020): 19 companies with "JMA" prefix were incorporated in batches on specific dates (3 Jan, 13 Jul, 23 Oct, 3 Nov 2020). All 19 JMA entities are now dissolved — none appear to have traded [Companies House, UK].

Phase 4 — Three Tuns (2022–Present): Three Tuns Investment Holdings Ltd (14242045), the current primary UK entity, was incorporated in July 2022 with Theunissen and Michael Padley as co-directors.

Compulsory Liquidation

The primary Corinth operational entity in the UK, Corinth Management Services Ltd (company 12297863), entered compulsory liquidation by court order in January 2026. Compulsory liquidation — as distinct from voluntary — means a court determined the company was unable to pay its debts. This entity never filed a single set of accounts with Companies House in over six years of existence [Companies House, UK, company 12297863].

Director Churning at Three Tuns

Since its formation in July 2022, Three Tuns Investment Holdings Ltd has seen 8 directors resign — including Devinder Paul, who resigned after just 4 days (appointed 16 September 2022, resigned 20 September 2022). Three directors (Griffin, Butler, Walsh) all resigned on the same date: 31 May 2023, approximately six months after CySEC revoked the network's Cyprus AIFM license. Only Theunissen and Padley remain [Companies House, company 14242045].

Three Officer Identities

Theunissen's Companies House record is split across at least two separate officer IDs: Nv1OzipDJHIt1x2NoHlP7zfvXjw (7 companies, 2009–2018 era) and 13lZ-8tC-foBlucTeH8SD6DPfNk (25+ companies, 2019–present). Both show date of birth April 1966. This fragmentation means a standard Companies House search on either ID alone does not reveal the full scope of his directorship history.

No Financial Qualifications

Theunissen holds a BA in Economics and Education from the University of Johannesburg (1983–1987). No financial professional qualifications have been identified, and he is not FCA-approved [FCA register]. Prior to entering the UK company director sphere, he was identified as a rugby coach at Cranbrook RFC, Kent [Kent Online].
